Sources and use
Every company fact links to its primary record, so an answer built on it can be checked by whoever reads it.
Where answers come from
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
SEC EDGAR | Filings, 8-K events, Form 4 insider trades, financial statements, dividends and buybacks. |
US House Clerk | Members' stock-trade disclosures under the STOCK Act. |
Trading venues | Perpetual futures prices, funding, open interest, liquidations and trades, from each venue's public market data. |
OptimistFi | The investment case and every read of evidence against it, marked license: computed. |
Presenting answers
- Confirm the company first. When a name or symbol could mean more than one company, call
resolve_entitybefore anything else. - Keep the source with the claim. Show the source, its date and its confidence next to what it supports.
- Treat a gap as a gap. A result with
looked: falsemeans the data was not seen, not that nothing happened. - Show partial answers as partial. Say what is missing rather than filling it in.
